WEBINAR DETAILS
About
This session is part of CONNECT Conversation's monthly Variety Focus Series. On the first Tuesday of every month, we will uncover the uniqueness of Australia’s climate, landscape and regional wines through the lens of a specific variety or style.
October is focused on Shiraz, with two sessions dedicated to our flagship variety. The first session covers History, Heritage and Old Vines, and this second session looks at Cool Climates, Changing Styles.
Mark Davidson, Wine Australia’s Head of Education Development, gives an overview of some of the cooler climate regions and changing styles of Shiraz. He talks to Matt Fowles about growing Shiraz in the Strathbogie Ranges, how different regional expressions of Shiraz are renewing excitement in the variety around the world and lesser-known regions such as Grampians, Macedon Ranges and Tasmania that are producing really exciting Shiraz wines.
